Donald M. Schaeffer, CPA, JD is an owner and President of the Firm, where he specializes in representing families and their businesses utilizing his tax, estate planning, accounting and legal skills as both a CPA and attorney.  Mr. Schaeffer serves as a trustee of a major family foundation as well as numerous family trusts.  He is Chair of the Board of Trustees of Hofstra University and is a board member of GTJ Reit, Inc., a public Real Estate Investment Trust.  Mr. Schaeffer graduated from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University School of Law.  He practiced tax law in Philadelphia at the Schnader and Wolf Block law firms before moving to New York and joining a predecessor of the Firm.

Samia B. Sam, CPA, MS in Taxation, is an owner and Vice President of the Firm and oversees its Tax Compliance, Controversy Resolution and Fiduciary Accounting Services practices. Mrs. Sam graduated from Hunter College and earned her Masters’ Degree in Taxation from Long Island University. Prior to joining a predecessor of the Firm, Mrs. Sam practiced as an audit manager at H.J. Behrman & Co., a tax manager at Marks, Shron & Co., and as a principal at Berdon LLP, where she headed the tax department of the Long Island Division.
